As some of you might be aware, last year I made the biggest trip of my life all the way over to the other side of the world to New Zealand for a month long holiday. It was one of the best experiences I've ever had and I am constantly looking back at all the videos and photos I took whilst I was there.
Whilst there, I made a few trips into various pharmacies to investigate which brands were popular in the country and one I saw a lot of was the brand, Antipodes.
Antipodes is a New Zealand founded brand that uses some of the best NZ natural ingredients and extracts to create their products. As I've been to the country I like the special extra step this brand takes with their products. One of the many collections from the brand that I have recently been introduced to is the Manuka Honey Skin Brightening Light Day Cream* and the Skin Brightening Eye Cream*.
I have been using these two products for the past few months and I have fallen in love with them for a a few reasons.
Firstly, it's main ingredient...Manuka Honey. Manuka Honey can be used in skincare because it has natural antibacterial properties, which help to help address any blemish/spot issues on the skin caused thanks to a day to day wear and tear of the skin. I have definitely seen an improvement of my overall skin appearance.
On top of the manuka honey, the day cream also has and Vinanza® Performance Plus, which is an ingredient that brightens skin, decreases trans-epidermal water loss, improves skin elasticity and reduces redness. So all round a good egg.
Before we move on, let's quickly look at the ingredient for the eye cream. Again one of the top ingredients is Manuka Honey, which means you get another dose of this wonderful skincare ingredient, which hydrates the skin, treats pigmentation and reduces the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. It is safe to say I have seen an improvement of the look of my under eye area straight after application in relation to my pesky eye bags. The skin actually looks more awake and alive after using the duo.
The other main thing I really enjoy about the products is the smell. Random I know however, the scent which unsurprisingly is a mild honey scent is very nostalgic for me after spending almost a month using hotel shampoos, shower gels and such all of which use Manuka honey as one of their ingredients. So if using the products for skincare benefits wasn't enough I also get projected back to October 2016.
Have you tried any Antipodes products before? What do you recommend me trying next?
