Double Throwback Favourites...January 2015

Hey there,

If you are a subscriber of my YouTube channel then you might be aware of the monthly feature I do called Throwback Favourites. To put it simply I look back a year at the favourites I had and see if I till like the products I did back then or if I've found something better.

As I'm now blogging again (and loving it) I thought I'd a Double Throwback series on this blog, which is when I look back two years and see if I still like those products. If you want to watch the original video and watch a very baby Clare vlogging I'll link it HERE but for now...Let's get into those favourites.

Pixi Glow Tonic & La Roche Posay Serozinc. I can't believe I've been using this duo for two years. If you don't know what these products are Pixi Glow tonic is the cult favourite toner for the masses made famous by Caroline Hirons and Serozinc is its trusted best friend.
To put it simply, I use the Glow Tonic as a exfoliating toner to clear all gunk, grime and grossness from the skin and then I spray a nice helping of Serozinc on after to calm and clear the skin afterwards.

Witch Blackhead Clearing Gel. You will notice that this doesn't feature in the picture above. This is because I don't know where it is. It's safe to say I no longer use it. Sorry.

Bodhi Ginger Brew Deep Tissue Oil. Ahh I remember this stuff. It is designed to be used post exercise and bath/shower to calm the body and relieve aches and pains after exercise. It is really good stuff and it's definitely something I will need to hunt out again after returning to all exercise classes as I'm really suffering.

MUA Undress Your Skin Foundation. OH YES!! This was another must have product in my world two years ago but it's very much been forgotten about since. My problem is that in those two years, my make up collection has probably more than doubled and I actually have three Muji drawers full of foundations that I never get round to them all. Maybe I'll have to try it again soon?

Charlotte Tilbury Film Star Bronze and Glow. I'm not a bronzer kind of person, I prefer to be pale and lifeless in my look. So I can't say I get a great deal of use out of this product, however if I just fancy a slight warming of the skin then I tend to reach for this bronzer.

Maybelline Golden Brown nail colour. Two years on... I still love this nail polish. I most recently wore it through the whole of Christmas. It's a near enough rose gold shade which is lovely and really easy to pair with most outfits and looks.

Charlotte Tilbury Bitch Perfect. I love this lipstick just because of its name alone. On top of that it is a gorgeous nude shade that goes slightly peachy pink on my lips. It's an all round good egg and one I definitely want to use more this year.

MAC Twig. I remember the hype surrounding this and its cousins Faux and Mehr. Out of the three, Twig is the deeper/darker shade without being too dark. I haven't worn this lipstick too much recently but that's down to the fact that I have FAR too many lipsticks for one person.

And there you go. Have you ever looked back at your old favourites to see if you still like them? I love doing these on my YouTube channel because it helps to remind my ageing mind of products that I have possibly forgotten about but loved, so hopefully I can continue the tradition on the blog too.
