17 for 2017

Hello there,

On my YouTube channel last weekend, I published my New Years resolutions for this year. It was a list of 7 things that I would like to achieve over the next 12 months. However, once I'd pressed publish on that video (which you can watch HERE) I then got a group message in my YouTube squad group from Leah (XL) about her plan to film a 17 for 2017 video that she wanted to people to collaborate on.  I wanted to join in but as I've already done the resolutions video, I thought I'd take advantage of the fact I'm blogging again to put them on here.

If you don't know what 17 for 2017 is, it is a list of 17 achievable goals or task that I would like to achieve over the year. So without further we go.

1. Maintain a daily skincare routine. I am someone that gets rather lazy when it comes to skincare sometimes. If I'm tired or just can't be bothered, my skincare takes a beating and my skin gets spotty and clogged up. Over the christmas period, I have kept up a decent routine and I have seen the improvement of my face, so I want to continue with that routine and see what happens to my skin.

2. Spend as much time with as many friends as I can. My friends mean a lot to me, they are the people who can get me out of nearly any mood and can cheer me up with a single sentence. Annoyingly, most of my best friends live more than half an hour away from me, which means it can be tricky to meet up with them as much as I'd like to. So I'm going to try and meet up with and spend as much time with my friends as I can.

3. Watch 5 musicals live. If you are new to me or my blog, then you won't know that I'm a big fan of musicals and musical theatre. I'd love to be able to say I've seen 5 musicals live this year.

4. Work on a one out one in system for my make up. I'm not going to lie, I've got a lot of make up. So much that I've pretty much ran out of space for it all. So I'm going to implement a one out one in system, where I can only buy a piece of make up once I've used something else up.

5. Film a collab video. I have been doing YouTube for over 3 years now and I've never done a collab video with someone in the same room. It's something I've always wanted to do and I'm going to do it this year. Who would you like to see me collab with?

6. Visit Bicester Village with Zoe. This has become a tradition every year to go to Bicester Village with my lovely friend Zoe for a day of fun, chat and shopping. I want to go back this year.

7. Reach 1,500 Subscribers on my main YouTube Channel. It's nice to see growth when you work really hard on something. My YouTube channels are like my babies so it would be amazing if I could reach 1,500 subscribers by the end of the year.

8. Visit a Spa. This one is explains itself. I'd love to visit a spa, maybe for a couple of days for a pamper and relaxing time. I've never been to one before, so this is the year.

9. Complete the sit up track without stopping. At the end of each Cardio Combat class, there is a three minute track which involves sit ups, press ups and more sit ups. I have been doing the class for nearly a year and I've never completed the whole track without having to lie down on a mat for  a breather because I'm in pain (I hate sit ups!). By the end of this year, I want to be able to say I can do it without stopping.

10. Blog once a week. I know it's only been a few posts back, but I have really enjoyed being back into blogging. I'm not stressing about other people and how they are better than me, I'm just writing what I want to write. I'd like to publish at least once a week this year but if I'm not feeling like it or the words are not flowing then I'm not going to force it.

11. Go on ONE date.  We all know if this happens it'll be the most awkward thing ever because I'm awkward but it would nice to go on a date, meet someone new and not be single for a little bit.

12. Reach 400 Subscribers on Square Peg Round Hole. SPRH is my vlog channel, where I vlog A LOT. For half of the year, I daily vlog and the other half I vlog my weekends. I really enjoy doing it as it gives me memories to look back at when ever I want.

13. Read 10 books. I want to spend a little more time away from the computer this year and I want to get back into reading too. I've aimed for 10 because thats just under 1 a month because I know what I'm like and I will not rush through a book. I just need some suggestions for things to read. Anyone?

14. Use my planner. Towards the end of 2016, I got quite good at planning out video schedules and that's something I want to progress with this year. I want to use my planner to plan blog posts, videos and everything else between.

15. Try a new exercise class. I do four classes a week but I want to try something new as I've been doing the same classes for a while now. I'm tempted by something like Pilates or Yoga but it's all down to timings of classes.

16. Join in with more twitter chats. When I first started my blog, I joined in with multiple chats but as me and my blog have got older, the attendance in these chats have gone down dramatically. I'd love to join in with more #bbloggers chats because that is where I first started and I'd love to be part of the #vloggerschat on a Thursday but it's at an awkward time for me because I'm out at Zumba. We'll see how things go.

17. Have a clear out of my Subscription feeds. Both on YouTube and on bloglovin' I am subscribed to so many blogs and channels that either don't really exist anymore or that I'm just not interested in anymore. So I'm going to have a clear out so I don't miss out on anything really important.

There we go. 17 goals to strive for in this year. Shall we take bets on how many I will actually succeed with?
