10 Achievable Tasks


Over the last few years on my YouTube channel, I have filmed a New Years Resolution video that I give myself a few little goals to attempt. Whilst uploading this years video, I came across Leah from Leah XL's video where she gave herself 10 achievable tasks of things she thinks she can do this year.


I love the idea of this as sometimes New Years Resolutions are tricky to succeed with or keep on top of so in addition to my resolutions here are 10 tasks for the year.
1. Read 6 books... I used to read all the time but thanks to YouTube. blogs and computers in general mean that I never find time for reading so my challenge is to read 6 books, that's once every two months. I can read quite quickly once I'm into a book so I think it's manageable.

2. Completely cleanse my face everyday....Recently I have been a bit slack in my skincare routine,sometimes only using a quick sweep of micellar water and that's not going to help me in the fight against spots.I will endevour to double cleanse, tone and everything each day this year.

3. Try 2 new brands...After many years of searching for favourite products I've got set in my ways and only really buy from a handful of brands and never try anything else. I want to broaden my beauty horizons and find some new favourites.

4. Enjoy my annual August trip to London....I on occasion go on a day trip to London to see a show or go shopping but for the past two years I've gone on a little weekend away in London in August to celebrate my birthday. Last year I splurged on a nice hotel and had a lovely time and it would be nice to do this again.

5. Reach 1000 subscribers on my main channel....If you told me at the start of 2015 that I would have gone over 750 subscribers then I would have fallen over with shock however, it's given me the determination to get better and reach a new goal. If anyone wants to help the cause then come and stop by the channel

6.Take a laptop free night a week...I'm constantly on my laptop and it's going to strain my eyes if I continue. I'm going to give myself one evening after work when I don't switch on my laptop as soon as I get home from work,, I think it's going to be a hard one (that's what she said!)

7.Drink more water...Over the past month or so, I have realised that I haven't been drinking enough full stop, let alone drinking enough water. My skin isn't loving it and it's something I used to be good at doing a long time ago. Please note that I haven't specified a certain amount of glasses etc because at work I drink out of bottles and I can't be bothered to do the maths of how much I've drunk.

8. Go out socially once a month...Now to clarify I don't mean go out out as in go out on the town because that's just not me. Apart from exercise classes I don't go out much and I don't see my friends as often as I should. Every month at least once I'm going to arrange a day/night out with a friend and just catch up/go to the cinema/go shopping etc.

9. Try a new exercise class...I've been very set in my ways when it comes to exercise. I do Zumba and Cardio Combat on a Monday, Aqua Aerobics on a Tuesday and another Zumba class on a Thursday. I have a membership at my leisure centre and there is many more classes available so I'm thinking of trying something new...maybe Pilates or Yoga?

10. Keep trying with my blog... As you might know from my New Years Day post, I've decided to write one post a week on this blog and it would be really awesome to do this for a while, right?

  1. I really want to get back into reading too, I stopped when I was studying and now I don't know where to start again so if you have any recommendations let me know! I want to try more with my blog as well this year too, I've let mine slip way too much xx

  3. I'd love to have a laptop free night. That has to be one of my main aims/ goals for 2016 or at least to not play on my laptop or phone in bed.
