Holiday Beauty Packing Tips

I'm off on my holidays. I'm going to Scotland for a week from tomorrow and as this post goes live I haven't packed at all. I know there's nothing like forward planning but I like to pack the day before I go so that I can take my time during the week before to make sure everything is clean and that I can prep everything else.

Today I thought I'd share a few tips to packing everything beauty wisely in your suitcase, without forgetting anything.

Firstly, pick your travel bag wisely. There is nothing worse than putting your beauty bits in a bunch of different places, it makes it hard to find everything once you are on holiday. I personally like something like this Cath Kidston Beauty Bag  to keep everything in one place. I actually have something very similar and it is great because you can put all your skincare bits one side and all your make up on the other side and it's all safe.

Secondly, hunt down your sample sizes. I don't know about you but through buying various magazines, attending events or ordering beauty boxes, I've gained quite a few sample sized products and travel sizes. Hunt them down in your storage and take them instead of your massive standard size bottles. Not only do you have more space but if they are samples of something you've never used before you might find a new favourite product.

Thirdly and finally, make a list. I'm very much a list maker, whether its to list ideas for blog posts or videos, keeping track of my lipstick collection or just things I need to do in a day, a list is always useful. When it comes to packing it's perfect so that you don't forget anything because you get to tick everything off your list as it goes in the case. I like to write my own lists but if you want to just tick off a premade list then Anna from Vivianna Does Make Up's PDF list is a good one to use.

That is it. If you are going on holiday, enjoy yourself and DON'T FORGET THE SPF...seriously be safe.

Lots of Love,

  2. I'm completely the same with lists, I make them for everything! I love that Cath Kidston bag, I might invest in it for my trip to Paris later this year *heart eyes emoji*

  3. Hunting down your samples is such a good tip (I pretty much have an entire drawer of them!) as minis can be expensive for what they are xx
