I don't know about you all but on my list of beauty "jobs" cleaning brushes is never high up it on excitement levels. Give me a large collection of lipsticks to sort out into colours or to put into alphabetical order and I'm a happy bunny but brush cleaning...eugh.
To me brush cleaning is a long, annoying and thanks to the high coverage foundations I like to wear, sometimes grubby job. I recently took a trip to Birmingham to meet up with some fellow bloggers and vloggers and we made a trip to Primark. Along with a few clothing bits and bobs I picked up something which has got me a little bit more excited about the prospect of cleaning.
Whilst in Primark, I stumbled into this product. Described as a face cleanser, this pink circular silicone pad has a nice collection of "bristles" which are designed to be able to help to cleanse the face. As a person who dislikes using cleansing brushes and the alike on my face, my brain of course jumped into what else I could use this product for.
Then it dawned on me. This would work the same way as certain brush cleansing gloves such as the Sigma one. After wetting the make up brush, I put a little bit of baby shampoo on the little pink bristles and then swirl the make up brush around and around until it's nice and soapy. I then squeeze the excess dirt out of the make up brush and rinse out the silicone bristles, give the make up brush another quick swirl and squeeze and bing bang boom, brush washed.
I'm really impressed how well it worked for the cheap price that I paid. I mean it is a good £28 cheaper than the sigma cleansing glove....you could buy a Burberry or Charlotte Tilbury Lipstick with that.
Lots of Love,
