The Saturday Pamper Part Two

Hey there

Just under a year ago, I let you all into the secret (not really a secret) that I call my Saturday bath my "pamper bath" because it's the time in the week when I can properly chill out and look after myself. I will link that post HERE for you all to check out.

I have recently had a sort out of my skincare and that has meant that I have sorted out other aspects of my beauty routine so the pamper has changed. So today I thought I'd share with you all the updated pamper routine.

So starting of from the beginning, after I've cleansed as normal I start the pamper with a "special shampoo". My current Saturday shampoo is the Bumble and Bumble BB Sunday Shampoo. I had heard of this shampoo for many years but I hadn't picked up until recently. This is a clarifying shampoo, which takes away all the product that builds up during the week leaving the hair a lot lighter and squeeky clean. I haven't had this for a long time so I can't review it completely yet but so far so good.

After I have rinsed out the shampoo, it is onto the mask section of the pamper. So I start by applying my face mask because that takes longer to "set" than the hair mask. My face mask changes depending on how my skin is feeling but this time around I used the Soap and Glory No Clogs Allowed Mask. It is a self heating thermal mask, which is a really weird feeling to have something warming up your face but it's a nice mask all the same.

Once that is in position it's time to apply the hair mask and funnily enough the mask I used this week is the same mask I shared in the last pamper post. It is the Dove Nourishing Oil Care Regenerating Mask. I have used and tried other hair masks but this is the one I go back to often. Its a rather thick mask that just makes my hair super soft.

After the allotted time, normally about five minutes, I wash off the masks, face first then hair, and then it's time for a good scrub. This is a new thing for me to do because I used to never bother through laziness. However as summer is slowly sneaking towards us which means I need my skin to be in tip top shape for skirts and cardigan free days....eeek. The scrub I used was the Soap and Glory Sugar Crush. I'm not a big fan of the smell but I like how it works on the skin so I guess I'll have to live with it at the moment.

Then it's time to exit the bath (booo...) and then it's onto the final touches. First the body butter comes out, the one I used this time around was the Palmers Cocoa Butter Formula Cream, which is not photographed because the dog has attacked the bottle twice so it's a bit manky. The cream is a thick cream which melts into the skin leaving it softer than a babies bottom. Then after it has sunk into the skin, it's time for the PJs to come on, for the skincare routine to be finished and then the final treat of the night is the Origins Drink me Up Intensive Mask, which is an overnight mask which just locks in moisture like there's no tomorrow.

And that is it, writing this up just makes me want to jump in the bath right now but I can't. Do you have a pamper routine? Tell me your favourite pamper products down in the comments.
I hope you enjoyed this post, I'll see you in my next one.

Lots of Love,
Clare
