I don't know about you all but on a weekend, I like to take a little bit of me time. As I work with children, it is non stop for a good 6 hours every day and then I come home and do exercise classes or sort blog things or film YouTube videos so when the weekend arrives, I take all the me time that I can.
One thing that has become a little ritual is something I like to call the Saturday pamper.. totally unoriginal name I know but what can you do?
There are three key steps as well as a few extras. Up First, Shampoo.
I like to wash my hair 3 times a week with a random collection of shampoos that I need to finish up but on Saturday it's a special one. I use the Lush Curly Wurly Coconut Shampoo, which I have reviewed before in the past. It's an amazing shampoo, which I'm so happy I discovered but it's not one I could use every day so it's my treat on a Saturday and my hair loves me for it.
Step two and three happen at the same time...I call it mask time! Guess why... because it's the time I put on a hair mask and face mask at the same time. In the scheme of it, the face mask goes on first at the moment my favourite is the Una Brennan Tea Flower Deep Clean Pure Purifying Clay Mask. The reason I apply this first is because I want the clay mask to be dry by the time I need to wipe it off.
Once the face is all clayed up, it's time for the hair mask, or in this case two. The reason there is two is because there wasn't much left in either of these pots. I used the Dove Hair Nourishing Oil Care Repair Mask and the Herbal Essences Hello Hydration Intensive Mask. Both leave the hair silky smooth and smell amazing. The Herbal Essences Hello Hydration range smells of coconuts so it matches well with the smell of the Lush shampoo and the Dove hair range all smells amazing, seriously go and check them out and have a whiff.
Whilst it's mask central, this is the time I chill out watch a good five minutes of a YouTube video or sing really loudly to a couple of songs before my face mask is ready to come off and I need to wash out the hair mask.
After all this is done and everything is off, it's time to apply lotions and potions onto the hair, skin and face it is onesie time with a film in bed.
Do you have a Saturday ritual?
Lots of Love,
