Spending Ban Sunday #3: Wishlist Time

Hello there,

Another week has passed and we have now finished week three of my spending ban. This week has been a little easier to not spend because I have been working pretty much non stop all week so there has been no chance to go into a shopping centre and peruse the shops.

However, at the same time as this, I have had my ban battles. In fact I've had two. Firstly this week I had a really bad day. Work was hard, I received a not so nice comment on my blog (which I have now deleted) and I was overly tired (sleeping is hard when you are all blocked up) so everything built up and I just wanted to curl up in a ball, buy so much make up that would make me happy whilst I suffered in silence. Instead of breaking the ban, I took myself off to the bath, had a face mask and a proper skin cleanse with a chocolate biscuit or four... I felt very proud of myself.
The other battle I fought this week was that I had to buy a lipstick for one of my non blogging friends as a Birthday present. As she always has admired my Charlotte Tilbury lipsticks I decided to get her one of her own. The thing is I really want about 4 lipsticks from Charlotte Tilbury so I really had to resist the urge to buy one for her and one for me.

Whilst we are on the subject of things I'm lusting after I thought today I'd share a few things I have on my wishlist.

Starting with top left, I have fallen for Charlotte Tilbury Matte Revolution Lipstick range. I had a quick swatch through them all the last time in Selfridges Birmingham but after seeing Aimee's video of her collection I have decided that the one I truly need is Glastonberry. It's a deep berry shade that will be perfect for the upcoming autumn winter time.
Whilst we are on the make up chat, there is another foundation I am lusting over...yes another. The new Rimmel Lasting Finish Foundation sounds like a great foundation that I need to try. It's supposed to be long lasting and not heavy on the skin, all of which sounds perfect for a day to day work foundation.

You might notice that all the three things left are skincare serums. I don't know about anyone else but when the weather gets chillier I really get into my skincare again and so the serious splurge on skincare will be happening soon. The question is which serum will I pick up. You see I am currently using the Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair and I have nearly finished the bottle. It is a great serum and my skin loves it however there are two serums that I have heard so much about that I want to try them too.

The first one of them is the Kiehls Midnight Recovery Concentrate. I know a few bloggers that claim this is the best thing since sliced bread. It is slightly cheaper than the ANR which is why I'm tempted to try it but at the same time I don't want to buy it and then not enjoy it as much.

Lastly on my wishlist is the third of the serums I'm debating purchasing, the Sarah Chapman Overnight Facial. The reason behind my lust for this product is all down to the lovely Sarah who can enable anyone into making a purchase. This serum has had much publicity from the big bloggers like Vivianna does Make up and Lily Pebbles so I'm really interested in trying it.

Are you on a Spending Ban? What's on your wishlist recently?

Lots of Love,

  1. That Charlotte Tilbury Matte lipstick is on my wishlist too, such a pretty shade! xo

  2. Oooh yea, all but the Rimmel would be fab x
