Review: Make Up Revolution The One Foundation

Hey there,

Make Up Revolution is a brand that has been on my radar for a while, ever since it arrived on the beauty scene earlier this year. About a month ago, I placed a rather large order of the revolution produts and amongst them was this foundation called The One Foundation.

The One Foundation was one thing that I wanted to try out because I thought it would be a bit like MAC Face and Body foundation, which is something I've always wanted to try but never have and when you can pick a bottle of this foundation up for £4 (check it out here), I thought it was worth a try.

I picked up in Shade 2 because this is the lightest shade there is (apart from shade 1, which which is white...great for mixing with other foundations to lighten them) and it matches well with my pale complexion, so top marks to you there.

The thing that makes this foundation special in my rather large collection is that it is so liquidy and light feeling. Before every application, there's little shaking involved and then a very quick pour onto the back of the hand because it comes out quickly and it's very runny. On application, however, the foundation blends into the skin nicely and doesn't move. As the box states, this foundation is definitely buildable, you can either go for a light wash over the skin for a lazy day or you can apply a bit more for a bit more coverage, which is always good because a girl needs her options. The finish you get with this foundation is lovely too as you feel like you have nothing on your face, it's just a little bit more matte.

The only little thing I have to mention is that if you have any dry patches (silly cold weather and combination skin problems), be a little weary because I have found that the dry area I have on my nose at the moment seems to collect the product a little, which highlights the dryness but this is not something that will stop me using this foundation in the future because my dry areas aren't always as bad as they are now...I think my skin is just adjusting to the weather.

Have you tried this or any other Make Up revolution products? What are your favourites?

Lots of Love,
