A Travel Must Have: Urban Decay Naked Basics Palette

Hey there,

Last week I went away for the week to Wales. Like any self respecting girl/beauty blogger I made sure I packed enough make up to do not only my face but also about three other people's make up to. Anyone else here that cannot pack light?

The one thing that I didn't have to worry about was my eyes. You see just before my holiday I bought the Urban Decay Naked Basics Palette. It was a purchase I had been debating for a while and I decided to celebrate finishing a school year, I treat myself to it.

I'm sure you've seen this palette before but let me tell you about it anyway. The Naked Basics Palette is a collection of 6 shades going from a pale cream/nearly white highlighting shade called Venus to a black shade called Crave. They are all brilliantly pigmented as all Urban Decay shades are and they are easy to blend too.

My current two shades are W.O.S (Walk of Shame) and Naked 2. W.O.S reminds me a lot of the MAC shade Brule, so it is the perfect all over the lid base shadow and Naked 2 is a great crease shade.

As I have only have this palette for about two weeks, so I will save my opinions and swatches for a later date but I just wanted to let you know that if you are off on holiday, even if it's for one night, you need this palette in your make up bag as it's perfect for travel and has nearly every shade you need for a nautral look.

Lots of Love,
Clare

  3. I haven't purchased this one yet, I'm still 'new' to the actually caring about makeup phase in my life. Only took me 30 years, but I anyhoo. I've heard that this one is pretty much the 'must have' in any collection from numerous people. Maybe I'll pick it up in the future.

  5. This palette looks perfect for me! I really want the naked palette but I feel like it has way more neutral shades than I could possibly need and I wouldn't use all of them so this looks much better + it's cheaper so I'm tempted!

  7. The Naked palettes are absolutely amazing! They're simple, but you can create so many different looks with it. I have the Naked 3 palette, but the Basic palette is a nice and affordable alternative. :)

  9. There's a new one coming out isn't there? I'm unsure whether to purchase this one! It looks really good but I'm worried that the colours won't flatter my skin tone.
