On Sunday 1st June 2014, I made the journey into Birmingham for a special reason. I battled the stupid Sunday Service (one train every 2 hours from Birmingham to my village... are you mad?!?) and met up with a great group of like minded people.

My day started bright and early with me being in Birmingham city centre at 10am.. there were no shops open, so I set up camp in Starbucks and people watched. I saw how the Selfridges doors open and listened to two ladies moaning that they bought the wrong sized Mulberry Bag and that they were going to have to buy a new one (#firstworldproblems). After about an hour, Aimee met me, I introduced her to the Orange Refresher and we chatted before meeting up with everyone else, then walking to Ming Moon, for a lot of Chinese food and listening to the lovely Kirsty Lo talk about Motives Cosmetics...Cue a swatch fest of their products whilst listening to Kirsty.
Then after much shopping in Selfridges (by some people but actually not me... I did it afterwards haha) we wandered over to Lush for an after hours event. We were greeted with drinks and were taken on a quick tour of the shop before the lovely staff took small groups and talked about different products. I first wandered to the haircare as it has been something that been intriguing me for a while. I was introduced to all of the products and told about what product was best for which type of hair. It was very interesting.

Another little talk I stumbled into was the Emotional Brilliance Make up collection. Claire from the store explained all about how the products work and even took a colour reading for Aimee to share how it works. I know that many bloggers made a make up purchase so I'll be looking out for their posts.
After that I had to pay for my two little purchases and run to the train station for a train home (again Stupid Sunday Service!! If I'd missed my train I would have had to wait another 2 hours). But I'd like to say thank you Jess and Paige for organising the meet up and putting together such a wonderful day and a great goody bag... speaking of here it is.
We received the white bag when we arrived at Ming Moon and as you can see it was full of goodies. Then when we left Lush the staff handed us all little goody bags which was very lovely and totally unexpected. Look out for the reviews shortly.
Finally, I thought I'd share with me the only things I bought on the day. I picked up the American Cream Hair Conditioner, which smells amazing and I was told it's great for thick hair. I also picked up my own The Comforter as I have heard so much about this product so I thought it was about time for me to try it out.
And that is it... it is crazy to think that the next meet I will be attending is my own, which if you want to come you can read about it HERE.Thanks again to Paige and Jess for organising everything.
Lots of Love,
