Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water

Hey there,

Since I started blogging nearly two years ago, there has been a collection of products that I had no idea about, amongst other things Micellar Water is something I had no idea about.
You see when I started there weren't all these different brands selling micellar water, it was pretty much Bioderma or nothing.

Flash forward there is still Bioderma but there is also a L'Oreal water, a Vichy water, a Nivea water and a Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water too.

First up, packaging... it feels very similar to Bioderma, the same pink lid, round plastic bottle shape. Its very asthetically pleasing and doesn't look too bad on a dressing table.

Now onto the product, like all Micellar Waters, this product isn't supposed to be used alone. It is the first stage in a routine to be followed up by a proper cleanser then the rest of your routine. The water is used to remove make up and I have to say this one does a good job. As the bottle says, it is safe for face, eyes and lips and it does remove make up well from all three.

I have now tried three Micellar Waters, which are this one, the L'oreal  Paris Skin Perfection 3 in 1 Purifying Micellar water and also I've tried the original Bioderma. I have to say I see a lot of similarities between this Garnier one and Bioderma. They both are sensitive enough for my face and I can actually use it on my eyes (something I couldn't do with the L'oreal one. Plus unlike the L'oreal one, this Garnier Micellar water it doesn't feel sticky or like there is a film on my face afterwards.

This is a good product BUT like I said at the beginning, it's not a one wonder product. Yes by all means use it to take off your make up, but remember to properly cleanse afterwards and then continue your skincare routine... you will make me happy AND your skin will be very happy too.

Lot of Love,
Clare

  1. I haven't tried this one but i've tried Bioderma and the L'oreal - I prefer using them as toners and I think they work really well for that after cleansing. Great for getting anything you might have missed off as well! x
