Garnier Soothing 2 in 1 Make Up Remover

Hey there,

If you have been here with me for a while you will know that when it comes to eye make up removal there is only one option and that is a Bi-phase product. This simply means that there is a water base and an oil base (thus the two colours) and you have to shake it up to mix the two.

Garnier Simply Essentials 2 in 1 Make-up Remover 200ml

This love affair with bi-phase removers started with the Lancome Bi-Facil, which I reviewed way back in June 2013 after I bought it at a Lancome Masterclass I attended. It was and still is one of the best eye make up removers that I have tried but the price of it kind of made me not repurchase.

Then I tried Nivea Double Effect Eye Make Up Remover in November and I enjoyed using it and it worked well but I could never find it in the shops to repurchase. This is when I found the Garnier Simply Essentials Soothing 2 in 1 Make Up Remover whilst doing my food shop.

This product has the same bi-phase technology as both the Lancome and the Nivea products, which is good plus it is very gentle on my eye area so there is no stinging or pain for my sensitive eyes to have to worry about.

The one thing I do have to say is that I don't feel that this product takes off my eye make up as quick and as easy as it's other two fellow products. I feel like I have to work the product in a little more in order to take everything off but I don't know whether this is because I just wear more eye make up than I used to.

Another thing to note is that when you shake it you have to be quick to put the mixture onto a cotton pad because because the speed that the two parts separate back is rather fast. Its not something that would make me not repurchase it but it is something to be aware of.

The price of a bottle of the Garnier 2 in 1 Make Up Remover is around the same price as the Nivea product at about the £3.50 mark and I have to say I would put both of those products at about the same level of liking and I will probably repurchase either of them when this bottle runs out. However I still prefer the Lancome one the best.

What is your favourite Eye Make Up Remover? Let me know in the Comments below.

Lots of Love,
Clare
