The Weekend Pamper

Hey there,

Today's post comes from an idea I have whilst I was sitting in the bath... I know rather weird but inspiration hits you anywhere and everywhere. I have always been a bath kind of girl, there's nothing better than chilling out, with the iPod playing musical theatre songs blaring, having a soak. 

The best time of week for me is a Saturday night when I don't have to worry about needing to wake up early in the morning, I can just have a chill. This leads to what I call my weekend pamper, which is a hour/hour and a half time where I can just relax.

My Weekend Pamper session comes in three parts, before the bath, during the bath and then finally after the bath.

Before the Bath


Before the bath, I cleanse. This isn't anything special as I always cleanse every day but I'm not loyal to one cleanser duo. The only time I'm loyal is on a Saturday when I use this pair. I first start by removing my make up with the Una Brennan Vitamin C+ Cleansing Oil and then I properly cleanse with the REN Clearcalm 3 Clarifying Clay Cleanser. These two products leave my skin clean and ready for the relaxing to happen.

During the Bath


Next section happens whilst I'm in the bath. I start by washing my hair with shampoo. This could be any bottle that happens to be open. This time I used a mix of Herbal Essences Beautiful Ends Shampoo, which I only put on the ends of my hair and then covered the rest with the Aussie Colour Mate Shampoo. I did this because my ends have been a bit eugh (thats the technical term) recently and I wanted to try and cheer them up.

Then after a quick rinse comes mask time. First on goes my face mask of choice which is currently the Una Brennan Tea Flower Deep Clean Pore Purifying Clay Mask. This is a mask which I have been really enjoying and it is perfect for trying to sort out my crazy skin. Once that has been smothered over my face I can then put my hair mask on, which is a mix of the Herbal Essences Hello Hydration and Bee Strong Intensive Masks. Then I relax for a good 5 minutes and let the masks do what they have to do before I remove the face mask with a flannel/face cloth and then rinse off the hair mask.

After the Bath


It then is time to get out of the bath and finish my pamper session. I normally first start by using a moisturiser or something similar but at the moment I am using the Bodhi Ginger Brew Deep Tissue Oil* as I have been working very hard with my exercise classes and have been suffering a bit with achey muscles so the Ginger Brew has been helping.

Next on goes the very attractive Minnie Mouse onesie and Primark fluffy socks and I get ready to sort out my luscious locks. 

After a good towel dry I stick some Macadiamia Healing Oil Treatment* and apply this to the lower half of my hair making sure it reaches the ends just to give the tips a little help. Finally I spray the Dove Hair Nourishing Oil Leave in Spray all over the hair, comb it through and viola I'm finished.
