BEAUTY: Maxfactor Whipped Creme Foundation

Hey Lovelies,

If you have been a reader of this blog for a while, you will know my love for the Maxfactor 3 in 1 Facefinity Foundation in the colour “Light Ivory”. Well my love has now been extended to another as well.

As a pale face, I struggle to find a foundation on the high street that matches my skintone, companies are getting better but there’s still a while to go. Since I started my blog I have learnt that on the high street Maxfactor is one of the best brands for the pale faced amongst us, so when I heard that there was a new edition to the Maxfactor family, I knew I needed to pick it up and this knowledge was highlighted more when I swatched the foundation at an event I went to recently. The colour I picked up was Light Ivory , which is the same as my 3 in 1.

The consistency of the foundation in the pot is a very mousse like, which was strange at first but once buffed into the skin it feels no different to any other foundation that I own (of which there are a few). This consistency I think helps this foundation to feel light on the skin, it's pretty much like wearing a second skin.

The finish of this foundation is described by Maxfactor themselves as "demi-matte", according to a lovely lady I chatted to on a Maxfactor counter recently demi matte means that you look glowing but not shiny..which I think is important for everyone. I like this finish, especially as I do feel I could get away without a powder (bonus).

Finally, the coverage... I would call the coverage light-medium but I think you would be able to layer up to get more of a stronger coverage if you so wished.

Overall, this foundation has a new fan in me.. Well done Maxfactor, you have done it again.

Till Next Time,
Clare
