SPENDING BAN UPDATE: The final countdown & Wishlist

Hey lovelies,

So you might be able to guess that I'm on the home stretch of my "spending ban". As we all know I have done a bit of spending through this ban but lets leave my thoughts on the ban until next week.
a picture of a spending ban logo

So since the last update, one piece of clothing has been bought but that is it.. and this is thanks to the hot weather we have got going on in the UK at the moment. No beauty products have been bought and no food (other than the family food shop with my parents) has been bought. I think this, my final week of the ban is going to be the easiest and hardest week not to spend.

It will be the easiest because if I consider buying anything I can just think NO! you are nearly in London and you need the money to maybe buy a pretty thing or to. On the other hand, it will be hard because I have officially finished for the Summer... I have six weeks off now and the boredom will slowly creep in, which means I'll start internet window shopping and thats when the temptation creeps in.

Now onto my Wishlist for London... It has only a few items on it but I know as soon as I meet the other bloggers and we start talking I know I will want more... For example, Grace (All That Slap) was threatening to introduce me to Illamasqua and I already know that Kat (Tales of a Pale Face) will be an enabler if I look at any kind of skincare as her blog is already an enabler for most things I want.

Anyway, onto the wishlist.

beauty wishlist full of sleek, ysl, MAC and pixi glow tonic

I know, I know... there's MAC there, it's a sickness I'm telling you.
From left to right we have Sleek Blush in Life's a Peach, YSL Rouge Volupte Shine lipstick in Fuchsia in Rage (number 19), MAC eyeshadow in Orange, Pixi Glow Tonic (picture courtesy of Kat) and MAC eyeshadow in Shale.

If you haven't already worked it out, I'm in love with the colour orange at the moment and I have decided to pick up some orangey toned products, namely the blush and the eyeshadow whilst I'm in London. I have plans to not go wild in the MAC store, maybe buy a couple of eyeshadows maybe a lipstick(if one really sticks out to me) but not go nuts, instead as a treat to myself I will buy one MAC product a month if I haven't gone wild with my spending in a month.

The YSL lipstick is one that I need to swatch but I want to buy one as a treat to myself. I am planning to use my Boots advantage points to buy it so technically its free right?

Finally, I'm going to try and get my hands on the Pixi Glow Tonic. I really want to try it out and you can only get your hands on it in the London store (wish me luck).

Has anyone else been on a spending ban? how has yours been?

Till Next Time,
Clare

  1. Good list! Whenever I have a spending ban I always find myself spending so much once I am finished. Not really the point!!
