My MAC Palette #1

Hey Lovelies,

So if you saw my haul on Monday, you will have seen that I bought a few more MAC eyeshadows, which meant that I'd filled up my MAC 15 Palette, something I'm very happy I did (it looks so pretty now its full).

So I thought I'd share the beauty of my palette with all of you. I feel I should say that I bought all my eyeshadows myself with my own money, yes I am aware that to have a full palette is expensive but I don't drink a lot, smoke or go out "clubbing". Make up is what makes me happy and that is why I spend my money on it.

Anyway, without further stalling... ladies and gentlemen meet my MAC Palette.

So the top picture has no flash and the bottom one is with flash, just you can see them differently. As you can see I like my glitter, in fact I think there is only one which is a matt shade. So name wise I think I should introduce you all...

Top Row (L-R)--- Naked Lunch, Amber Lights, Antiqued, Cranberry, Club
Middle Row--- All That Glitters, Woodwinked, Sumptuous Olive, Noctournelle, Beauty Marked
Bottom Row---Gleam, Sable, Green Smoke, Stars N Rockets, Carbon

If you haven't already worked out... I like wearing neutrals, purples and greens on my eyes so that is the reason behind my picks. What I thought I'd do now is to take three at a time and show you some swatches. Ready...Steady... Lets Go.

My first three are my three neutral champagne colours. These three colours in my swatches look very similar on these swatches but they are not. All That Glitters I think has a golden beige base to it whereas Gleam and Naked Lunch are both more pink based. The other thing to point out is the amount of glitter. Gleam is jam packed with shimmer (perfect for evenings), All That Glitters is glittery (as the name would suggest) and Naked Lunch is more tame. I like using these three shadows as bases for the rest of my eye look.

The next three are so pretty (all 15 are pretty). Amber Lights I find to be a bronzey orange colour, which I like to use with darker colours just to brighten the eye a little bit. Sable and Woodwinked in the pan look rather similar, however as soon as you swatch them you can see the difference. Woodwinked has a antique golden sheen to it, perfect for just whacking on all over the eye. Sable on the other hand is more of a brown with shimmer.

Ahh I love these swatches. I'm currently loving greens on my eyes, these two green tones are on my eyes most days. Green Smoke is one I found out about through watching a Haul video featuring Tanya Burr and Zoe from Zoella, where Tanya had taken Zoe into a MAC store and told her shades she needed to try. Green Smoke was one of them. Its a glittery dark green shade which I am currently loving to put in my outer corner smudged in with a bit of Sumptuous Olive mixed in.

Sumptuous Olive was suggested to me by Laura from Laurzah (seriously she is like my MAC partner in crime, any questions I have she gets a whatsapp message about and she can answer it for me..god I love that girl). Sumptuous Olive is a Khaki Green with golden shimmer, it is on my eyes daily its so pretty. Antiqued is a shade I don't wear as much as I probably should. It is a brown with a bronze shimmer to it, I think I'll have to play with this one a little more.

My Purples. Stars N Rockets is a light purple with a pink glitter to it. Its so pretty. Nocturnelle is a deep purple, which was one of my first MAC eyeshadow purchases but sadly it isn't my most used. This is mostly because I find it hard to gain a good colour from it, its more tricky to get that colour from it. Cranberry on the other hand is a lovely pigmented colour. It was one of my staple eyeshadows during the winter... it even had a post devoted to it, which you can read HERE.

The final three. Carbon, its a black matt shadow not much more to say. Beauty Marked is one of my newest additions, its a black with pink shimmer, gorgeous isn't it. Finally Club, a brown base with a green shimmer, it is another new addition and I'm yet to properly play with it but this swatch excites me.

So there you go my first ever MAC eyeshadow palette filled. Notice the #1 in the title? Thats because I already have plans for a second one. I have a problem okay?

Do you have any MAC eyeshadows? Do you have any suggestions what else I should try?
Till Next Time,
Clare
