Windsor-- 7th April 2013

Hey lovelies,

So last week I told you all about my trip down south to London as I was watching Matilda...once again brilliant musical. After the performance, we got back on our bus and it took us to our hotel for the night, where we had a lovely evening meal, a decent sleep and a really good (but very unhealthy) breakfast.

We started the day with a trip to Windsor. When we arrived we saw a large gathering of people and decided to go and see what was going on (as you do).

We soon found out that the large collection of people were waiting for the changing of the guard. We decided to stay and watch as it's something you don't see every day. I snuck into the crowd and got snap happy whilst my mum watched from towards the back. Once it had gone through the gates of the castle, we decided to go look at the front of the castle before deciding we didn't have time to go around it.

We decided instead to have a wander around a few of the shops, including Cath Kidson (so pretty but so expensive) ending up in a little park which lead us to the main shopping street. We picked up some lunch for when we were back on the coach and spent a little money in the M&S sale. My mum treated to a highly reduced swimming costume and top, which I was grateful for.
When we were walking out of marks and sparks, we heard the band were coming back out, the other half of the changing of the guard. We went to watch it come back.

Once they had marched past, we took a seat in a little coffee shop for a nice break and then sunbathed on a bench until we had to get back on the bus for our journey back to Midlands, in which I had a game of I've seen that musical more than you have with the woman sitting behind us. It was a serious battle of the musical geeks.

So there you go, that is the second half of the weekend away I had with my mummy. Have you ever visited Windsor?

Till Next Time,
Clare xxx
