MUA Undress Your Skin Highlighting Powder

Hey lovelies,

Today I bring you a "review" of something that I bought recently, whilst on a shopping trip with my friend and fellow blogger Zoe. It is one of the newer editions to the MUA range, it is their highlighting powder.

MUA Undress your skin Highlighter

If you read last weeks post, I'm still a newbie to highlighters only owning one, which is MAC Soft and Gentle but I'm still going to tell you about this product. I hope this is ok?

So first think I want to say about this highlighting powder is what it looks like in the pan. It reminds me, as well as others that it looks a lot like a collection MAC had once... you know one I am talking about right?

Anyway, onto the colour. This highlighter is a different shade to my Soft and Gentle. This is something I like about it because it means I haven't got two products the same colour. Soft and Gentle is a gold-y peach, which I love a lot. This product is a more pinky shade, which when on the cheek just draws attention to the area (the way a highlighter should really). Below I have given you some swatches..

So above I have blended out the MUA Highlighter on the left, see the pink tint and then on the right I have blended out Soft and Gentle. See what I mean about the different colours.

I love that I now have two... I think that the MUA highlighter is perfect for someone who is just starting out with highlighters, its easy to apply, it looks lovely on the skin and its super affordable (currently retails for £2 on the MUA Website and in Superdrug stores).

Taking pictures of a highlighter on the skin, I have learnt is super difficult to do. Here is my attempt:

Excuse my outfit choice, I was in full sickness mode when I took the pictures but I'm hoping you can see the highlighter on the top of the cheek, reflecting the light.

Overall I really like this highlighter, its perfect for my pale skin as it highlights but isn't like I'm slowly turning into a twilight vampire (glitter face). I would definitely suggest you pick yourself up one of these little pans of product, they're only £2... what have you got to lose?

Till Next Time,
Clare xxx

  12. Hehe I just wrote a review on this highlighter...And I love it too. Like you said, it's completely different to Soft and Gentle by MAC and I think it actually suits paler skins like ours perfectly. It really reminds me of Benefit's High Beam but in powder form! And it's sooo good considering the price! :)))) I also find it hard to take photos of highlighters on the face - I have to either be outside right in front of the sun or use the flash on my camera :))
