Maybelline Colour Tattoo 'Timeless Black'

Hello Lovelies,

Today I'm talking to you about something I'm so happy I've bought. It is another Maybelline Colour Tattoo. You know how much I love my Creamy Eyeshadow Pots. So when I was told by fellow blogger and friend, Natalie from Natalie Roseanne's Nails and Beauty Blog, that there were new shades out and about I knew I had to check them out. I treated myself to Timeless Black and Light in Purple (which I'm sure will get it's own post one day)

Maybelline Timeless Black

Like all the other Colour Tattoos before them, Timeless Black has the same creamy feeling to it and it is still super long lasting. One thing I love about this one is that is completely matt, in as much as there is no glitter in here and also that it actually black. Random thing to say I know but hear me out... When these little pots first came out they had one called Immortal Charcoal. It is one (nearly the only one) out of the range which I haven't bought because although its called Charcoal (which you would assume is black) seems to be grey in colour and this made me sad.

I'm guessing you are wondering, why in the world have you bought this product when you only wear nude colours or MAC Cranberry on your eyes Clare? Well dear readers, I shall tell you why. On the day I purchased this product, I had been in MAC earlier on in the day and the lovely lady in there had put eye-liner on me. I have never been one for eye-liner as I get freaked out about putting a sharp pencil near my eye, however I thought that I could try using this as an eyeliner, applying it with a little brush I have in my collection and I was actually OK with the process. If you want to see the proof, you can see it on the last post that went up.

I love the Colour Tattoo range and this is one is no exception. I only have one gripe. This shade more than any other shade I have, truely lives up to is tattoo name. It is THE most difficult thing to get off at the end of a day. I think I have cracked it now but its taken some getting used to.

Have you tried any of the range?
Till Next Time,
Clare xxx

  1. I adore the maybelline colour tattoos but this is one of the colours I definitely won't be purchasing, I'd honestly have no use for it! I much prefer the more neutral shades and even the bright ones, I'd get more use out of them, purely because I tend not to do a really dark eye or a smokey eye because of my hooded eyelids I'm only just working out how to rock a neutral eye so that you can see the eyeshadow! xx

  2. I want to get this one just because I think it will be perfect for eye liner too! The Light in Purple in my most lusted after Maybelline Colour Tattoo (after the Barely Beige that us UK people didn't get :().
