Birmingham Shopping Haul

Hello lovelies,

So if you didn't already know, last Saturday I went shopping in Birmingham with the lovely Zoe, who writes the blog Zoe- Lianne x. She lives relatively near to me and we decided to meet up in Birmingham for a catch up and a shop, and boy did we shop!

We met up in the New Street Starbucks (I'm sure they're going to know my name soon) and we began our reign of terror in Selfridges, where Zoe bought something and then we moved onto Boots. After perusing the make up stands for a while (as all good beauty bloggers should) we ventured further into the shop. I ended up with these goodies...

I bought what I actually went in for, which was a heat protectant for my hair as I have been blow drying it more recently and I don't want to kill my hair in the heat. I asked for advice on twitter and the winning suggestion was the Tresemme one... I'm excited to try it. Along with that, we both bought some Philosophy things from the Christmas collection, which were £3.50 each (BARGAIN OF THE CENTURY). I've never tried anything from Philosophy so it'll be exciting to try.

Our next stop was to Superdrug number one (Birmingham has three) where we mooched the bargains but didn't buy and then walked down to New Look on Corporation Street where I picked these bad boys up...

Red Cowboy style ankle boots. I saw these online a few months ago and fell in love however they didn't have my style. I saw these and they were reduced to £15. I knew I wanted them. I just like staring at them.

Up next was the place that I reeked the most damage. MAC. We had visited the MAC counter in Selfridges earlier in the day but they hadn't got what I wanted (my lovely prize for my giveaway that recently ended) so it was decided we would find the stand alone shop, which can be found on Cannon Street. Before we went in, I had never been in a MAC store and had been told through #bbloggers chats that the people who work for MAC can be horrible. However, within a few minutes of me swatching and looking in lust at all their goodies, a lovely lady (who I sadly can't remember the name of) had asked me what kind of colours I wear on my lips normally, she offered to put some of Plumful (the one which I was lusting over the most) on my lips. Of course I said yes and hopped onto one of their stools and let her do her magic, whilst in the chair we were talking and she offered to try Viva Glam Nicki 2 (a lipstick which I recently said I would never look at) on me as well as giving me a little tip for eyeliner. So what did I buy?

MAC Viva Glam Nicki and Plumful

I treated myself to Plumful Lipstick, Viva Glam Nicki Lipglass and Viva Glam Nicki 2 Lipstick. I could have bought so much more in MAC but I had to hold myself back..I'm off to London next month so I need some spending money for that.
We then popped into Muji because I felt I was one draw away from perfection in my make up storage system. I think I am finally happy.

Our final stop was Superdrug (our third of the day) and this was were MUA goodies just seemed to tempting for me...

So I picked up an Undress Me Too palette for me as well as one for my giveaway winner and I also bought one of the new highlighting powers, which I'm excited to play with as I love my MAC MSF Soft and Gentle. I also picked up two of the new Maybelline Colour Tattoos in the colours Light in Purple and Timeless black because we all know I love them and finally I picked up some of Superdrug's Own Brand eye brushes because well I need more eye brushes.

So there is my haul. I promise to stop spending for a bit (well I can try). Do you want reviews on any of my goodies? Just ask.
Till Next Time,

Clare xxx

  7. What a fantastic haul!

I haven't heard bad things about actual MAC shops, just the counter girls. I'm getting jealous of all your MAC buys though!

Those boots are fantastic! Love the colour too.
