Benefit They're Real

Hello there lovelies,

Two eye product posts in a week. Oooh you are lucky. Earlier this week, you got one of my favourite eyeshadows (MAC Cranberry - you can read it here) and now today right here right now, I am blogging about one of my favourite mascaras around and that is Benefit's They're Real.

At the time of writing this I have two favourite Mascaras this one and another that you will find out about on monday's post (which is my 300 person giveaway post.. sorry its took so long the downside with scheduling posts).

Its so reflective that you can see my camera in the packaging. So snazzy right? Everything is better when it reflects your face in the packaging right?

Lets talk about my natural lashes, they are a decent length but they are light in colour, I tried to take a picture to prove this on my iPhone, which I shall now show you now...

Excuse the non made up face, but I hope you get my point. My lashes are not short, they are a decent length but they are a little dull in colour.

Anyway back to the Mascara. Benefit states that They're Real

'lengthens, curls, volumizes, lifts & separates. Our jet black, long-wearing formula won’t smudge or dry out. A specially designed brush reveals lashes you never knew you had!'

What do I think?

From my experiences, it lengthens and volumizes my lashes. As you can see in the pictures below (which are all after one coat), the lashes appear longer, darker (for obvious reasons) and just a lot nicer than my natural lashes. I personally have not noticed a curl in them but I won't complain much about that.

You will notice I haven't done my bottom lashes... this is purely down to the fact that I never do them. I think it stems back from when I was first starting out with make up and the mascara I bought was rubbish and it gave me panda eyes. The one thing I love about this mascara is it's wand. The wand at the end has a little ball which has bristles on (I'm not describing this well.. see the picture below), this makes getting the hard to hit lashes a doddle to cover.

Overall I love this mascara, I think its definately worth the price tag it has, it doesn't smudge or clump... its the quality you're paying for. A full sized one is £18.50 and a travel sized on is usually around half that size.

What do you think of this mascara? Whose tried it? Who wants to try it?
Leave me a comment below.

Till Next Time,
Clare xxxx

  3. I have done a review of this mascara too over and my blog. I LOVE it and have recommended it to loads of people. I think it's worth the price and would pay it again in a heart beat! My only gripe is it's so hard to get off but at least that proves it's staying power!
