A Day in the Life.... Valentines Day Special

Hey lovelies,

For today's post I thought I'd show you what I got up to on my Valentines Day. Sneak peak... It involves one outfit change, some nice food and a good day all round. If you're interested in seeing my day then carry on reading.

Firstly I woke up at 7.20 and got my face and clothes on ready for the day ahead. I know you most of you know this but it you don't I'm currently training to be a Teaching Assistant which means that three days a week I spend my day working in a local school voluntary with 30 reception children, that means my Valentines day started with a 6 hour stint with 30 four and five year olds. I bet you're all jealous.

My first outfit of the day was what I wore to school. It consists of a dress, leggings, boots and a cardigan. I do wear make up to school but it's always very minimal. Here is outfit number one:

That's right more birds. I think I'm getting a bit bird print obsessed at the moment. In school, they had a culture day, which means that reception were learning about China and Chinese New Year... they tried Noodles and Prawn Crackers and learnt what Chinese year they were born in. Also as it was Valentines a couple of the boys had brought in cards for a couple of the girls. This warmed my heart, they are five years old so this was beyond cute to see.

Lunch Time Food was a very yummy rice dish full of goodness (and a little badness), I really enjoyed it.

After the children had gone home and I'd said goodbye to the staff and wished them a good half term I did the ten minute walk home. I can't believe the weather we are having at the moment, always living in fear of more snow and the freezing cold temperatures are just not fun.... I say bring on Summer. Anyway, back to my day... I opened my front door and was greeted by my lovely dog and my valentine for this year, Snowy. That's right if you hadn't already worked it out. I'm a singleton so Valentines Day is just like a normal day for me.

At about 6.00pm, I had the food of Gods... Beans on Toast. It is one of the best meals in the world to me. I only started eating baked beans at the age of 18 but now a days if someone cooks me beans on toast, they are the best. The reason behind my food choice was that I was off to Zumba later on and I needed something which filled me up but didn't leave me stuffed.

Speaking of Zumba, here comes my second outfit of the day, my zumba fitness outfit, a pair of tracksuit bottoms and a t shirt. I don't have a specific t shirt I wear, so thursdays was a t-shirt I bought from New Look a while ago, which gave some of the profits to Macmillan Cancer Support. I get a good t shirt and also give to a deserving charity. What more can you want?

After Zumba, I came home had a bath, hairwash and got into bed. That was my Valentines Day. What did you all get up to? Leave me a comment below.

Till Next Time,
Clare xxx

  1. WOO excellent non-loved up version of Valentines day! I loved the look of your lunch and you have a job I'm sort of considering but I just don't know how to get into it, I don't want to be a teacher but I really fancy classroom assistant. Boo for being older and having to start over again!
