Face Mask Monday #1

Hey Lovelies,

Before we start I should warn you there will be a picture appearing in this post which is me with a purple face…if you think you may be scared by that, I don’t mind if you click that little X and take yourself away from this post. If not, keep reading but you have been warned.

So this post is about my experience with the  Montagne Jeunesse Very Berry Face Mask. I have had a few experiences with this brand but I’m still rather new to the brand. when I learnt that they use a lot of natural ingredients and that they are cruelty free, I knew that I had to try it one of their masques.

The Very Berry Moisturising mask is described on the website as:

Bursting with the juice of pressed Blueberries and crushed Cranberries our fruity beauty is packed with antioxidants. Nourishing Peach Kernel oil and soothing Aloe will leave your skin refreshed and cleansed.

My first impressions of this face mask was that it felt like I was putting yoghurt on my face, it was a purple coloured mix and it smelt lovely. Unlike the other face masks I have used, this one was a non drying mask and therefore it remained a little sticky. The bonus of this is that I still had movement even up to the time I washed it off.

I warned you all

Taking it off was one of the most difficult things I have ever done. I tried my normal way of mask removing just wasn't working. I ended up having to get a Muslin Cloth out and wiping it off that way, which stained the cloth a lovely pink colour.

The end results of my facemask experience with this one wasn't too noticeable to tell the truth, my skin was a little softer but that was about it. I picked this one up with the idea that the blueberries in this mask would have helped with my spotty chin but no real change. I have however found out that the brand do a break out mud mask, so my hunt is now going to be to find that.

What do you think of facemasks? Which one is your favourite? Would you like more face mask posts?
