My Favourite Foundation of the Moment

Hey Lovely People,

I usually try (key word try) to take part in the #bbloggers chats on twitter on Wednesdays and Sundays. Every Wednesday (in the general chat) there is always a question about what people’s favourite foundation is. I always give the same answer, which gave me the idea for this post.

My favourite foundation of the moment is the Rimmel Wake Me Up Foundation. I found it through a friend who works at boots (a very useful friend to have) at the start of the year and have loved it ever since. I am in the shade 100 Ivory.

So what does the bottle say?

Our first foundation that visibly reawakens and illuminates the skin with a radient glow and a flawless, natural-looking finish. Instant anti-fatigue effect. With peptides and a Vitamin Moisturising Complex’

What do I say?

First thing that I say is yes it does have a little bit of glitter in it, but no it doesn’t make your face look like a glitterball. If anything it makes you look a little bit brighter eyed and bushier tailed (or more awake but that’s less fun to say, don’t you think). In the pictures below I shall try and show what I mean. I shall show you the bottle and also the affect on my hand.. good luck lovely readers, who know my photo skills aren’t great.

So you can see (just), in the bottle you can see the small beads of glitter, however when you pump it out onto your hand, these glitter particles seem less visible. When its all on your face all nicely brushed on there is no hint of glitter just a slightly more awake looking skin tone (please excuse my face, it was Sunday, I wasn't properly awake and I'd just cooked Sunday Lunch for my family).

I love this little bottle of wonder, I am currently on bottle number two.  The foundation usually retails for £8.99 (or there abouts), which I don’t think is too expensive. Do you?

So there you go. There is my review of my lovely foundation. Now I can be ready when someone in the #bbloggers Wednesday chat asks about good foundations. By the way, if you don’t join in already, why don’t you come and have a look at the chat on a Wedneday and a Sunday.

Till Next Time,
C

  2. Is it hypoallergenic? My skin is a bit picky with makeup products. Great review!

    1. Hey Jen,

I have looked everywhere on the internet (even the Rimmel Website)and I can't find anywhere, saying whether it is or isn't. All I can say is that my skin can be sensitive to certain products but it doesn't mind this.
      Sorry I'm not much help.
